BATTERER INTERVENTION PROVIDER/PROGRAMS (BIP)

 

Objectives of Accredited BIPs                                               

1.  To ensure the BIP incorporates victim/survivor safety needs.

2.  To serve as guidelines for BIP philosophy, procedure, curriculum contents, and best practice.

3.  To establish consistent level of accountability, responsibility, and service expected from  providers.

4.  To ensure that offenders receive appropriate services which hold them accountable for their abusive behavior.

5.  To ensure that program performance and efficacy is monitored and evaluate.

6.  To maintain cooperative relationships with programs and related disciplines.

7.  To provide Courts and Probation with current, accurate provider/programs names and numbers.
