Welcome!

We are so glad you found us and hope you find what you need here.  If not, please contact us at our new number:  (402) 561-7537.  Our web site is currently under reconstruction as we hope to have a much more dynamic site in the near future.  We want you to be able to find the most current and comprehensive information on addressing and ending domestic and sexual violence.

Since its inception in 1996, the DVCC has worked tirelessly to accomplish the end of domestic violence.  You’ll hear more from us in the very near future about ending sexual assault as it overlaps in so many ways with domestic violence, or intimate partner violence.  You’ll hear more about prevention efforts.  We aim to coordinate our civil and criminal justice systems and service provider systems to most effectively serve people who are impacted by these crimes the most.

Early in 2011, the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council (DVCC) Governing Board re-affirmed the DVCC’s four main functions:

  1. To facilitate coordination and cooperation between service agencies, departments, and the courts,
  2. To promote effective education, public awareness and training,
  3. To promote effective prevention, intervention and treatment techniques based upon research and data collection, and
  4. To improve the response to domestic and sexual violence to end it.

Please join us.  You can help by donating now.

In peace,

Tara L. Muir, J.D.
